Ingersoll Rand USA started to produce centrifugal air compressor since 1911. In 1912, it installed the world’s first multi stage air compressor of 100m3/h steam turbine driven. In 1928, it made compress energy recycle system. In 1940, it produced centrifugal compressor for catalytic cracking. In 1949, it started to produce steam turbine driven centrifugal compressor. In 1958, assembled centrifugal compressor came out.

    Ingersoll Rand CENTAC air compressor Capacity 720 ~ 51000 m3/h, pressure 0.7~22.5kg/cm2.    Features as below,

1、Complete whole unit assembling
    Compressor body, electric motor, interstage cooler, after cooler, microcomputer control cabinet, air intake valve, lubrication system and bypass valve, etc. are all installed on one base; Interstage cooler is connected and assembled with diffuser; it is compact and easy for installation and operation.

2、Advanced airmechanics application
    CENTAC adopts curved vane to get the best working and highest efficiency. It can be far away from surge point when operating which makes operating range wide and efficiency high. The impeller is cut and processed by cast stainless steel. The high strength can meet linear velocity. Quintuple computer controlled machine tool is high in precision.
Independently run impeller. Each impeller is installed on a stub axle and each is driven by one gear, which makes eachstage impeller reach the best running condition and high efficiency. The speed of each stage impeller reasonably matches air compressed capacity to ensure each set of CENTAC to reach the highest efficiency at the lowest cost.

3、Advanced bearing
The distance of CENTAC bearings is small. Each rotor is tested for fine balance. It is mounted on tilting-pad bearing. Fluid film lubrication, small bearing wearing.

4、Sealing
CENTAC adopts extension-type carbon seal ring for air, oil sealing. These seals have good self-lubrication, oil free.

5、High-efficiency gas cooler
CENTAC adopts unique high-efficiency extension-type air cooler (patented technology). Air passes pipe, cooling water passes outside of the pipe. Inner cooling pipe has special coffin plates which largely increases the capability of heat exchanging to get high efficiency and low pressure loss.
